It all began five years ago when Kerri embarked on a journey that would change her life forever. Little did she know that this path would lead her to a world filled with wagging tails, playful paws, and endless love.
Kerri’s Childhood Memory
My first encounter with caring for a dog was at the age of 12, alongside my beloved granny. I can vividly recall the joy that filled our hearts as we nurtured and played with her furry companion. It was an experience that left an indelible mark on me.
A Heartfelt Loss
Life has a way of throwing both joy and sorrow our way. Unfortunately, on the 17th of January 2021, my dear granny passed away due to the unforgiving grip of COVID-19. Her departure left a void that seemed impossible to fill. The world suddenly felt less warm and inviting.
A Change of Path
In the midst of this emotional whirlwind, I found solace in an unexpected place – caring for dogs. I had been working part-time in a different profession, but it was in the company of these furry friends that I discovered my true calling.
A Full-Time Commitment
Following my heart, I took a leap of faith and left my previous job to pursue my newfound passion full-time. The decision was not an easy one, but it felt like the right path to honour my granny’s memory and continue a legacy of care and compassion.
